Description

Fake Happiness

A green wine bottle rests on an open hand, its glass covered in red lipstick kisses. More kisses float across the soft lilac background, turning a simple still life into a playful and slightly ironic comment on the idea of happiness.

The lipstick kisses and the hand in the work are the artist’s own. The piece was created in March 2023 in a psychedelic art style.

Medium: Oil pastel and watercolour on paper
Size: 29.7 × 42 cm (11.7 × 16.5 in)
Main colours: bottle green, lilac, lavender, red, ochre and white

Lana Swan works on professional Daler-Rowney Aqualine watercolour paper, with paints and pastels made in Italy, the USA, Holland, France and Germany.

The artwork is sold with a professional passe-partout (mount), ready to be framed according to the collector’s preference. It is carefully packed for safe delivery.
