Kurt Cobain

A portrait inspired by Kurt Cobain and the distinctive atmosphere of the 1990s alternative music scene, interpreted in a psychedelic art style. Fine pencil-like lines shape the face and long fair hair, while a band of dark, textured strokes cuts down the right side of the sheet, half hiding the figure in shadow.

The combination of oil pastel and watercolour creates a layered surface with a spontaneous, atmospheric character. The work focuses on the visual impression of the subject rather than on any official band imagery or branding. It was created in August 2023.
